Self-description:
The Alliance for
Climate Protection is a unique single-purpose organization committed
to igniting public action to help solve the climate crisis.
Actual:
The founder and current chairman of the alliance is former US
Vice President Al Gore. His radical activist
zealots work to eliminate fossil fuels from America's energy mix.
Extremely intolerant of any who doubt or challenge their beliefs in
human-caused weather. The Alliance aims to "persuade people
of the importance, urgency and feasibility of adopting and
implementing effective and comprehensive solutions for the climate
crisis".

Al Gore
Connections:
Generation Investment
Management LLP (GIM) is a London-based investment management
firm with an investment style that blends traditional equity
research with a focus on sustainability factors, including
"social and environmental responsibility"
and "corporate governance."
Al Gore is chairman of Generation, and David Blood — previously
chief executive of failed Goldman Sachs
Asset Management — is CEO. The pair has given the company its
nickname, "Blood and Gore." Generation
Investment Management LLP is authorized and regulated by the
Financial Services Authority in the UK. Gore is
reputed to be making over $100 million from this business. but
that cannot be verified.

Programs:
The Alliance for Climate Protection
operates a three-year, $300 million
campaign aimed at mobilizing Americans to push for aggressive
reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. This campaign is one of the
most ambitious and costly public advocacy campaigns in U.S. history.
Repower America:
This is a project of the
Alliance for Climate Protection, based on the speech on July 2008 by
Al Gore. The idea is energy efficiency +
renewable generation + Unified Smart Grid = 100% clean electricity
and clean plug-in cars. Al Gore
claims that economists across the spectrum
agree that large and rapid investments in a jobs-intensive
infrastructure initiative is the best way to revive the economy in a
quick and sustainable way. In fact economists
consider it a diversion from fossil fuels that amounts to energy
suicide for America.
The We Campaign:
nonprofit project being conducted by the Alliance for Climate
Protection with the ultimate goal of ending global warming. In
August 2008, the We Campaign released a television advertisement
demanding that American leaders give the American people "truly
clean energy" within ten years.

Reality
Coalition: The Alliance for Climate Protection,
League of
Conservation Voters,
National Wildlife
Federation,
Natural Resources Defense Council and
Sierra Club
launched the Reality Coalition, a national grassroots and an
aggressive multimillion-dollar advertising campaign,
supposedly "to change the public perception of clean coal,"
but in fact an attack to destroy President Barack Obama's clean coal
initiative, which is stated in the White House Agenda (http://www.whitehouse.gov/agenda/energy_and_environment/),
which clearly says:
Create Millions of New
Green Jobs
- Develop and Deploy Clean Coal
Technology.
- Prioritize the Construction of
the Alaska Natural Gas Pipeline.
Al Gore and
these four big-budget green groups here show their true colors: they
aren't friends of President Obama and are spending millions to
undermine his energy agenda out of sheer malice toward fossil fuels.
Funding:
Gore's controversial projects are spending hundreds of millions of
dollars that are invisible to the public. From public statements The
Librarian can detect only a small fraction of the money known to be
spent.
Paramount Classics, distributor of Gore's documentary An
Inconvenient Truth announced in August 2006 that it would donate 5%
of all box office receipts to the Alliance. Al Gore is also donating
all his proceeds from the film to the Alliance.
Some of the profits from the Live Earth concerts, and profits
from the associated book - The Live Earth Global Warming Survival
Handbook, will also be used to fund the alliance, which is also
seeking contributions from other donors.
After receiving the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize, Al Gore pledged to
donate 100% of his share of the prize (approximately $1.5 million)
to the Alliance.
